This is one of my favorite scenes in the whole series

So I noticed an error in this scene. When an arrow is fired at the cart Ivar is leaning against, he throws an axe in response and begins screaming in Norse whilst holding one axe. Then at 1:46 he has 2 axes in hand again. 😂

Ivar lacks Ragnar's kindness and empathy. But of all the sons, he's the only one that can do this like Ragnar. The most charismatic (Ragnar had several monologues that gave me goosebumps, Ivar is the only son) and the most feared (reminicent of when Ragnar gave himself up in Wessex and the whole garrison had surrounded and spears pointed at an old unarmed man). Old man or cripple it didnt matter, Ragnar and Ivar were true demons to them.

Ivar was so fucking evil because he had to be,he had to be because his whole life his brothers and everyone else never took him seriously because he couldn't use his legs. What he lacks in physicality he makes up for in the form of just evil fucking violence.

I fucking love and hate this scene so much. Alex Andersen fucking nailed the acting and the speech... but THE DIRECTION omg.... It got redundant and all over the place. The first seconds of his speech are FUCKING... PERFECT tho, acting and direction. But you can only ask as much to an actor when the director doesnt even know what the fuck he wants. Alex needed to just keep shouting randomly because clearly the scene wasn´t planned that well. But again, those first words and acting are perfect.

What I dont like in this scene is that he had a 2 wepaons, then tthrow one and after that he had again a 2 weapons. Sorry for my eng
